GMO Free

Nogürt is and always will be GMO free – after all, we do not believe foods with DNA modified by scientists in a laboratory are safe for your health.  Foods which are genetically modified are not specially labeled.  So while you may think your diet is free from these potentially harmful hybrid foods, upwards of 90 percent of all non-organic soy, corn, wheat and rice products as well as food products containing derivatives from these crops are genetically modified.  So when you see soy lecithin, soy protein or "derived from" soy, corn or rice on a product label, there is roughly a 90 percent chance the food is GMO.  GMO crops are also fed to cows and other dairy and meat producing cattle. The results have been catastrophic to the health of these animals and their byproducts such as milk, yogurt, meat and cheese.

So what does GMO really mean? Genetic modifications to foods are the result of changes made to the DNA structure of the seeds from which the food-producing plants are grown. Scientists combine the DNA of harmful bacteria with the seeds of plants. For this reason, GMO foods are banned to this day by the European Union and many Asian nations.

For your health, Nogürt is certified organic and always GMO free.
